Bodega Monteviejo, Valle de Eco, Mendoza
The Péré Vergé family, more than just owners of Monteviejo winery, are a family passionate about the great wines of the world. Under the entrepreneurial vision and driven nature of Catherine, they came to Argentina at the end of the 90s in order to build a winery in one of their favourite places in the world. The winery was constructed in 2001 and is situated in the Clos de los Siete countryside. The land comprises 130 hectares and slopes face the North and East giving them better sun exposure in the Southern Hemisphere. The terrain has poorly structured, loam and stony soils, ideal for high quality vines.
Amongst the varieties planted are the emblematic grape of Argentina, Malbec. There is also Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Chardonnay. The winemaking is done with respect for great viniculture tradition: by hand, with no fertilisers.
Marcelo Pelleriti, chief winemaker of Bodega Monteviejo, also a talented guitarist and the creator & driving force behind the annual Wine Rock music festival in Mendoza, makes beautiful wines and defies conventions. Marcelo makes wine on 2 continents – South America and Europe! Not only is Marcelo the General Director & Winemaking Director of Bodega Monteviejo in Mendoza, he has – for 14+ years – directed harvests in Bordeaux, France for Château La Violette, Château Le Gay, and Château Montviel (as three chateaus & Monteviejo are owned by the same family).
Marcelo was the first Latin American winemaker to earn 100 points from influential wine critic Robert Parker with a French wine (Château La Violette 2010). Marcelo’s mentor is the legendary oenologist and wine consultant Michel Rolland.

Bodega Rolland, Val de Flores, Mendoza
Bodega Rolland, situated in the South of Mendoza, Argentina, originated from oenological consultations and evolved into the esteemed “Clos de los Siete” project. The Mariflor plot, managed personally by Michel and Dany Rolland, occupies the estate’s western edge at a lofty 3300 feet, in proximity to the Andes. Covering 247 acres, Mariflor cultivates Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, contributing to both Mariflor and “Clos de los Siete,” including Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard’s diverse soils, a blend of sand, clay, and pebbles, face predominantly east. Notably, controlled irrigation employs pure Andean groundwater, enhancing the region’s winemaking distinction.

Bodega Yacochuya, Cafayate, Salta
Founded in 1850, Bodega Yacochuya epitomizes the Etchart Family’s unwavering dedication to crafting exceptional wines. Arnaldo Benito Etchart’s 1938 acquisition of La Florida farm laid the foundation for the iconic “Etchart” brand. A pivotal 1988 collaboration with French winemaker Michel Rolland marked a milestone in Bodega Yacochuya’s journey. Perched at over 2000 meters, the winery cultivates 30 hectares in the Calchaquí Valleys, producing powerful red wines. The transition from Pernod Ricard ownership in 1996 led to the celebrated San Pedro de Yacochuya. With meticulous vineyard management and a 350,000-liter production capacity, Bodega Yacochuya blends tradition and innovation, captivating global wine enthusiasts.
